This work is the result of a collaboration between Sara Costa, G.Matteo Crovetto , Stefano Bocchi and the University of Milan. It presents an overview of the agricultural practices in Saharan Africa, and is part of the project “The food we want”. The project demands global action to support sustainable agricultural methods that guarantee food security and the protection of the environment. The main purpose of this book is to fight against hunger, poverty and climate change through the promotion of family farming and sustainable agriculture.
